“BEST FOOD TRUCK IN ASHEVILLE! I go here on average once a week, and it is consistently delicious. The pork platters are my favorite (masas de puerco and lechon asado). Historically, I’m not big on rice and beans, but they are too good to pass up here. They provide generous portions of each.
The tostones are fried to perfection too. Do yourself a favor and order a cafe con leche & maybe a pastry as well. Extra points for wonderful service!.” — CB Google Review

“Best Cuban food in Asheville sandwiches were fantastic the cafe con leche was spot on. Service and the location and placement of the place were immaculate.. definitely coming back early for the pastries and croquettes unfortunately they were out of them.” — CF Google Review

“I'm used to authentic cuban cooking and I'm always trying to find authentic Latin cuisine in Asheville. If you're looking for yummy cuban food that tastes like you're on Calle Ocho, this little spot is great.
We ordered a media noche, cuban sandwich, and croqueta preparada. We also got mariquitas (plantain chips) and croquettes. Everything was delicious. Looking for to trying some of their other dishes.” — JW Google Review

“I asked some Cuban friends where the best Cuban food is in Asheville and they highly recommended Guajiro (which means, "farmer or rural person"). So I headed there for lunch and O...M...G...it's to die for. I've had great Cuban food in Miami and San Diego, but I have to say, the food at Guajiro is THE BEST I've ever had. I had the palomilla steak (no onions for me though) which looked mouthwatering when it came out and it was flavorful. It came with a very generous portion of black beans and rice (truly the best I've ever had, anywhere - I could have had seconds for sure), and I got some sweet plantain (3 of them). All of it was excellent. And then, I had to try the flan for dessert. Now I will say the flan I had at Andres Restaurant in San Diego (unfortunately now permanently closed) was THE best flan, ever. But...the flan here ranks a close second and can become addictive. I had a little bit of it there, at one of the picnic benches (lots of seating btw. Picnic tables and high tops). But saved some for home. It didn't last long. It was gone by the evening. I couldn't help myself. The service was excellent. The area where the food truck is permanently located is in the River Arts District. Guajiro has a permanent place in my "favorites" on my iPhone.” — KW Yelp Review

“Visiting Asheville found this wonderful gem for Cuban Food! We ordered Media Noche, Frita Cubana, Croqueta Preparada all sandwiches and 2 Flans. We're so happy to find this comfort food, especially being a Miami native! The BEST Media Noche I've ever had. Spoke to the owners very nice people, very clean. Great experience!” — MV Yelp Review

Outstanding Cuban comfort food. Saw this place while walking the riverfront and seeing their Instagram postings...had to try. Best Cuban sandwich we've ever had. Great quality, fresh ingredients. Generous amount of meat with just the right amount of condiments. We will be going back for their other food offerings and can't wait to enjoy one of their theme nights”
